National Army Day 2013. The Budget of Azerbaijan Army in 2003 and a big LIE!

June 26, 2013 Baku! National Army Day. Huge parade organized by Azerbaijan government. Thousands millions wasted to one day 'show' in a country of oil where teachers, doctors and olders are starving because of low income. The country that is ruling 20 years by family of Aliyevs! The country that increase dictatorship over the nation 'showing' its guns, tanks and snipers. According to the government ruled source: " The Azerbaijani armed forces are highly disciplined, powerful, equipped with modern military machinery, always ready to defend the country and capable of resolving any problem. The Azerbaijani army is professional and the most powerful army in the South Caucasus region." (www.today.az) 

Although the government organized a big parade but it wasn't allowed to citizen to participate at the parade and watch the ceremony. No one person were allowed to the "Azadlyg Meydani" where the parade was held. 
This old man is a war veteran and he came to watch the parade. However, he wasn't allowed by the police. He reports that he could see only police at the parade, no one army, because police restricted even war veterans to take part at the ceremony. People could only watch via AzTV, the government ruled tv channel, and it wasn't a live video by some reason. Comparing to the last year parade, the TV channel showed the parade 30 minutes later of the real parade. And also people were allowed to participate and watch ceremony at its place last year. Every year the government expresses less respect and more dictatorship to its own people.

This is a boy who came with a great passion to watch the parade. However, police didn't let him. Photographer, Mehman Huseynov took this photo at the end of the parade. Unhappy face of this boy explains lots of things. If they don't let people to watch the parade, why they organize it then and waste so much money from budget? The road on this photo also shows the 'results' of this parade. That was nothing important rather than making people unhappy and destroy the road that the government spent thousands millions every year. Just one parade with several tanks and some soldiers were enough to see the wasted money on the roads. 

One of the main point's is that we lose soldgers in army every day with no reason and the government continue to celebrate Army Day and waste lots of money to this parade without any shame. Instead of finding our the reason why soldgiers commit suicide and killed by other soldgiers or generals, our president continue to lie to his own nation, own people. He says that our army had $163 in budget in 2003, he and his father were only presidents who could increase the budget of army. However, the real sum of the budget was $135 million in 2003.

If you had an opportunity to meet president, what would you tell him?

I remember as a kid I would read a lot of books. I started with reading different tales. One thing I never forget and would love to apply to my country today. In those tales King (Padishah) would wear old clothes and would become unrecognizable. He would walk around the city, talk to people ask them questions about "How the King manages the country?
